Ed, Edd, and Eddy Review

Ah, Ed, Edd, n' Eddy! You gotta love this show. It's bizarre, yet lovable art style, along with it's bizarre yet lovable characters makes it a (wait for it) bizarre, yet lovable show. First, let me dish over the premise.

The plot is about three kids who coincidentally (read: were all named after the Creator, Daniel Edward Antonucci) have the same name, who try to scam the kids of the neighborhood kids outta their money, to buy jawbreakers. And of course, Hilarity, and failure ensues, where most of the time their antics (even if it is totally innocent) end up with them suffering in some silly, yet brilliantly funny way, from being trapped into a block of cement, to them LITERALLY breaking the fourth wall.

Now, the characters.

Ed

Ed is the ahem... "Dumbass" of the group. He is the usual cause of failure for their schemes. Ed is also the most care-free and innocent of the three. He is obsessed with horror-movies and the sort. He is also very weak to his imagination, as seen in several episodes where this, along with his gullibility, are the root problem of Eddy's schemes.

Edd
Edd is the Egghead of the group, or "Sock-head" if you will. Edd is shown to suffer from a myriad of social problems, from OCD, to Asperger's. He has everything in his room labeled, and is the poster-child of a doormat. He abides rules with an unnatural happiness and love that not even a brainwashed, soulless, corporate Cartoon Executive would have. He is also unnaturally smart, able to build anything from anything. He even once built a security trap for his room.

Eddy
Eddy is the leader of the group. He is driven by a desire for money, and jawbreakers. He is shown to be vain, and sociopathic, due to some erm... childhood trauma, shall we say? He will do borderline anything for jawbreakers, even if it means backstabbing his friends. Despite his self-centered skullduggery, he still does care for them, and once made omlettes for them. (or atleast tried),

Those are the main characters. We also have Rolf, who is a hilarious farmer from Sweden, Sarah, Ed's demon sister (think Gaz from invader Zim, but replace all likability with brattiness and evil), Kevin, a tough jock, with a short fuse, Nazz, a love interest of all male characters, johnny, the bigheaded loon with his inanimate best bud, Plank, and Jimmy, a gay little boy who hangs around sarah the whole time.

Tidbits

The show is rather casual most of the time. It is usually the Eds trying to make money, and failing miserably, as it goes. The show's comedy is mostly slapstick, and black humor, topped with other little tidbits along the way. The animation, is done like those really old cartoons. You know, the ones with the squiggly lines? Anyway, as for the music... wow. the jazz soundtrack is so damn brilliant. And who could forget the soundtrack of Ed running along? Radical. The show is pretty smooth, and deserves the large fanbase it has acquired. The only blemishes- are Jimmy and Sarah. No-body likes them. NO-ONE. Burn in toon-hell, Sarah and Jimmy. The actual problems include the show's occasional dipping into creepiness, and how the Eds suffer too much. I mean I remember one episode, it literally looked like god was trying whatever he could to make sure they couldn't get some jawbreakers. Jesus christ...

Well, I hope you like my faux-review. I shall eagerly await your comments.

In conclusion
The show is brilliant.

Beginning

Hello, and welcome to my new blog. New as of this time of writing, that is. Anyway, let me explain this site.
The point of this is basically cartoons. I review them, comment on aspects of them, talk about my views on the cartoon industry... and what not. Why? I feel there wasn't a decent Cartoon-only place for cartoons and cartoon-related topics. I shall also show some news I manage to find based on the subject. So, that sums up the blog. So enjoy my future posts!
